A teacher has drawn to our attention a problem with one of the websites recommended in the book. In the section on Bessie Smith, A site called 'Blue Flame Cafe' is referred to, stating that it is a site dedicated to blues singers. Although this was correct at the time of going to press, it would seem that the nature of the site has since changed dramatically, and now contains references and links to adult material. We would urge you NOT to ask students to use this site, and would suggest that you delete the reference to the site from your page. We apologise to anyone who has used this site and been embarrassed or offended.
