This is a beginner’s tutor for the electronic keyboard aimed at children aged approx. 5-8. The book is introduced by Ernie, the friendly little elephant, a cartoon character who appears throughout the book to explain various points.
Much of the book is devoted to right hand playing, with a mixture of well-known tunes and new melodies. Eventually the chords of C, G and F are introduced.
The book has fun illustrations on every page, and almost all pieces have words, so that the child can sing along.

This is a series of three tutors for the electronic keyboard, aimed at children a little older than those who would use ‘Little Tunes For Little Fingers’.
Book 1 covers the very basics of playing and reading music, with theory points carefully explained along the way. After learning to play right hand melodies, pupils move on to the chord of C, then the chord of G. The tunes are a mixture of familiar and new melodies, and there are many illustrations.
Tunes include: Merrily We Roll Along, London Bridge, The Old Grey Goose and Lightly Row.
Book 2 introduces the chords of F, G7 Fm, D and D7. It also introduces theory points such as staccato and legato, scales, ledger lines and key signatures.
Tunes include: This Old Man, Oh When The Saints, Three Blind Mice and Happy Birthday
Book 3 introduces many more chords and scales, and includes tunes such as She’ll Be Coming Round the Mountain, Skye Boat Song, Mango Walk and English Country Garden.
